Hi,
Really hate the way 3 have taken out the option of prefered neworks and manual search hence you get stung for roaming because the phone tags on to the next available network.

Totaly lost on which files i need:confused:

Also will i need to get all the settings for wap mms again after going on generic SW.
Has anyone managed to get msn and skype working on a debranded k770i or are they lost forever??

If i backup the gdfs then can i use this to put the phone back to the way i got it.

sorry bud! your phone is a CID 53 and therfore it cant be debraded(not for free atleast/but possible if your willing to pay).
Regarding the files you need, you will find an explination in the tutorial in the homepage of top sony.
Next, if you do flash your phone, EVERYTHING on your phone will be lost (games, wap setting and homepages etc.) and restoring your GDFS will not help bring those back. ...i know it sucks...but we got to live with it...

First look here Top Sony - Languages Description and choose language,than you need jdflasher (this is only free tool for flashing CID53 phones) and than choose firmware (MAIN and FS must be same version - R8BB001 exc.,FS choose based on your prefered language and CUSTpack must be same region like FS - EUROPE_2 ) or tell us what language you need and we tell you what files you need and you flash your phone like here Flashing with jdflasher - Top Sony Forums

Language needed is english:D
also have downloaded far manager but where do i put the jd flasher folder??

You put that folder in FarManager/Far/Plugins/ , and files you can use for debranding are:

MAIN: K770_R8BE001_MAIN_GENERIC_VI_RED53
FS : K770_R8BE001_FS_EUROPE_4_RED53
CUSTPACK: HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_13_R8A_GENERIC_EUROPE_4

There is 4 files jdflasher_test,jdflasher_2020_52,jdflasher_test5fi x1,jdflasher_text5fix2_cid53
do i put all 4 in a jd flasher folder in plugins.

haha! im biting my own bullet here, but i did get confirmation that flashing CID53's are possible. sorry for giving the wrong info.
