    Dead S500i

    Hey,

I successfully flashed my S500 with R8BE001 Generic MAIN and the America_2 FS and Custom Pack, however when using the SIM-Lock patch in SETool2 Lite I encountered a problem. When trying to apply the Quick Access patch with the bypass DB2020 setting I would hold C and plug in the cable, but the following message came up:

    Trying to launch embedded bootloader...
    embedded flashloader not responds !

and the phone would turn on as normal and access the Ericsson phone suite. So I tried just checking bypassing DB2020 security only and the following occured:

    CID52 BYPASS PROCEDURE STARTED
    Processing part1...
    CSloader version:
    070410 1557 HANCXC1250562_DB2020_CSLOADER_R3A009
    Processing part2...
    Processing part3....
    OTP LOCKED:1 CID:51 PAF:1 IMEI:3529************ CERT:RED
    FLASH CID:52 COLOR:RED
    LDR:061201 1314 HANCXC1329129_DB2020_FLASHLOADER_R2A005
    Flash ID check:897E
    Flash props sent ok
    verify block error
    last blk:44290000,00010000
    CID52 BYPASS PROCEDURE FINISHED

When I unplugged the phone it wouldn't turn on at all, and neither holding 2 and 5 or C would connect it via USB to anything. So is my phone bricked and if so, is there any way to fix this without sending back to Sony?? It's under warranty (in Australia) but I think I voided it by not flashing with ANZ firmware.

    Thanks in advance

it was fully charged when I started trying the bypass... any reason why it would drain so quickly?
