CID 49 to 36 was possible but with the higher security such as CID50/51/52 its not possible to downgrade, Sony ericsson uses this so people like us cant mess with our handsets.

A bit of searching and I found this thread

    Can I downgrade?

On the third post it says:

PS: OTP stands for one time programming and it can not be changed. SEUS has changed your EROM CID to 52. So I guess flashing with CID49 EROM will help to have OTP CID = EROM CID = 49.
    And my phone's
    OTP CID: 49
    EROM CID: 52
So that means I can downgrade?

Cross CID ( apply a flash with a CID different of the CID phone ) flashes can be maded with SETool FULL, but at end the phone preserve his original CID...

i think that the erom cid can be downgraded back to the version of otp cid. but only with service cable and software. /maybe only with hw box/

About the people saying they did it with DaVinciTeam... If you flash a CID 51/52 FW on a CID 49 phone with 3rd party tools (meaning anything but SEUS), the EROM doesn't get flashed. So, if both EROM and OTP are CID49 then it is possible to flash CID49 FW (atleast, that's how it was several months agp).

If I'm wrong, please do correct me.

As for today, there's not much point in lowering the CID because you can do almost anything with XS++ 3,0 an SETool Lite.
So, if you're planning to change the CID back to 49 (altough I don't recommend it), good luck, and do report back ;).
