I have been lucky enough to find someone on eBay who's sold me a C902 for £150 as it was an unwanted upgrade on vodafone. As the firmware will be vodafone branded, I want to download generic firmware to it. I have managed to download some files for this (after a few attempts), but each time I try it gets stuck for ages, and if I right-click-pause, then right-click-resume, it will get going again. BUT this seems to be counting as downloading more than once on my download limit, so I still haven't downloaded this fully yet (by the time I got to 90% downloaded on the FS of the firmware and clicked-resume, it stopped as I had reached the 100MB limit)! I think the problem is I may be behind a transparent proxy server through my university's wireless system. I can't override the proxy as it is transparent, and this seems to be trying to cache the download and failing miserably, causing multiple download attempts. I can't use another internet connection to do it as I am not living at home, I am living at Uni, and the wireless is my ONLY internet connection. Is there any way you can set the system to allow more than one download of the same file, just count limits where its different files? Otherwise I don't know how I am going to get the files I need other than by logging onto my computer back at home thru remote desktop connection, downloading it there, and uploading it to to my own website and then download it here, but as that's against the rules... (shouldn't be uploading files from this site to other sites) I can't. For one download of an FS C902 firmware, it took 4 download counts. I am wanting to try different versions of firmwares for this phone as each have their own bugs (Sony haven't perfected it yet for this phone!).
