k850I: usb flash driver problems

Hi all,

I'm trying to install the usb flash driver for my k850i so that I will be able to flash it. I'm trying to follow this guide I'm on windows xp:

When I do these steps:

1.Turn off phone.
2. Start XS++ and click Connect.
3. Download -> SEMP_USB_Driver and click Extract Here on Desktop.
Hold "C" on phone and connect with USB cable

I get this error on xs++:

17:08:23| Error: Cannot open phone communication port
17:08:25| Disconnected... Unplug the phone

So I dont get the Found New Hardware window.

I also tried doing this with no luck:

Move ggsemc.sys in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers

Could someone please help me to fix this problem?

1. Turn off the phone, and remove the battery, wait a couple of seconds, and put the battery back, but do not turn on the phone.

Follow the next steps in guide. It should work.

Ok that worked thanks alot. So can I flash the k850i with xs++? Or is there another free software?

No,you can't do for now anything on that phone ,because he have all new platform DB3150 and haven't free support tools

Ok thanks alot. But can I change the acoustic drivers with xs++ or do i have to use a paid program too?

No,you can't change even acoustic with XS on that phone(for now)free.
