errh! why dont you just take the phone back and tell hthe shop the problem and tell them to fix it. next, my phone had a similar problem and i did a full flash and the problem is sorted, so most likely yours will too. i suggest full flash. you can back up your phone messages and contact with a program called 'my phone explorer'. good luck

thank you guys for replies.....i flashed the main and fs (R8BF003) and now everything is working correctly. it appears the only solution is to flash both of them (main and fs).
