    Dead SE K800i

My much loved K800i was acting strangely for a couple of days. It would only show parts of the screen, then freeze, then turn itself on and off. It finally turned itself off and has failed to come alive again. There is no life showing when I press the on button. No flashing led, no life anywhere. I have tried connecting to my laptop using the correct USB cable. Following the instructions from the Sony Ericsson website. When I connect the phone, having first taken the battery out, reconnected it, attached the cable to the laptop, attached it to the phone whilst pressing the C key. Still noting. Can anyone offer any further assistance to get my much loved K800i back up and running. Thanks for your help.:o
