Hi,

This is my first post after reading around quite heavily for the past day trying to gather information on how to begin to sort out my brand new K800i on vodafone pay as you go, which I received on Friday. I need some help!

Firstly, I got this unlocked directly from Vodafone over the phone for free (yes for free!), which was useful because this phone came with Cid53 pre installed. This means I will have no future problems with unlocking correct?

Anyway, firstly before I debrand my phone I want to know the best way to backup the firmware. I found a guide here

But preferably I don't want to have to follow the more complicated option and don't believe it will be a completely trustworthy fall back option (in case I need to utilise warranty or have problems).

I see that all I need essentially need instead are the MAIN+FS+CUSTOMIZE files. So this is what the service info in my phone tells me I need: K800_R8BF003_MAIN_VODAFONE_WI_RED53
K800_R8BF003_FS_VFE_LIVE_2_RED53
K800i_CDA102511_130_R4A

However, I can find the first two files here but cannot find the last, I can however find this one here. But it is unavailable for public download it seems.

Do I require this file, or can I use a different R*A option e.g. R8A etc.?

Otherwise what is the best way to create a fullsafe backup of my phone's firmware?

A quick response would be helpful, as this Vodafone crapware is horrible, I need to debrand asap, and would really like to get the 35fps camera driver, as the video currently looks terrible. I also hope someone managed to resolve the green/red call button issue when modifying the vodafone firmware?
