'perfect' guide on Flash Menu installation?

new Flashes on a W810:
-------------------------

1.First download and derar the package i made for you:

Advice: You must have installed the USB Flash Drivers from SonyEricsson to get it work.
So this is the first thing i need you ti do. You can Download them from the SE
Support Area...


2.Install Far Manager from the Progs Directory
- now Copy the SEFP Folder from 0.10.0.44 from the "File" Directory to the
Far Manager to the "PlugIn" Folder of your Far Manager Install Diractory.
now overwrite the Folder with the SEFP Folder from 0.10.0.51.
- Now Copy the Files from the "\Files\Breakloader\SEFP" directory in the Plugins\SEFP
Directory an run the patch... Your Virus Software might say its a Trojan Horse.
But Ignored it and it worked fine!

NOW GET OUT YOUR SIM AND YOUR MEMRORY STICK!!

3. BreakIn Loader Flashing:
- Turn off your Phone
- run xs++ (from the Progs Folder) and press Start
- Connect the Phone while pressing "c"
- now press "Flash Mainfirmware" and open "w810_p3k_dcu.49R.ssw" from the Breakloader Directory
- Press Flash
- After 5-7 Sec. "finishing flash" should appear. Now You can press Stop and close XS++.
- Deconnect the Phone

PUT YOUR BATTERIE OUT OF YOUR PHONE FOR 5 SECS...

4.Modding

- Start the Far Manager
- Press F11 and choose "sefp 0.10.0.51"
- In the next Winow Chosse the following:
- Device: DCU -60
- Speed 921600
- Flow: As it is
- Boot Scripts: w300_w810_z550_
- connect the Phone while pressing "c"
- Now the left Window: Its the filestructure of your Phone. Press FS
...Files are Loaded...
- now go to /tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash
-on the right WIndow choose The Theme Folder of my Package.
- Now you can copy the wanted swf files from right to left by drag and drop...
IMPORTANT:
- If you are ready, press ".." at the top of the left window until a red window appears.
- Press "YES"
- Now close Far by pressing F10
- deconnect the Phone

PUT YOUR BATTERIE OUT OF YOUR PHONE FOR 5 SECS...

5. Finalize

- Open xs++ again
- Choose Flash Mainfirmware and Choose the file in the "Main Firmware" Folder
- Now Flash...
...takes about 2 Minutes...
- Deconnect the Phone an put in the Sims again. You are done.

More Flashs can be found every day in the www.se-nse.com Forums. Just Search :D

To use the new Flashes, you can take any normal Theme file (*.thm)
- rename it to tar and extract it with TUGzip or any other "tar" Program
- open the *.xml Folder and manipulate or insert this Line: "<Desktop_style Type="File" Source="orbit.swf"/>"
- Instead of orbit.swf chose any new uploaded Flash theme you want.
- pack it with Tugzip to a tar File again
- rename it to *.thm again.
- Now upload it to your normal Theme Folder by using Sony Ericsson Pc Suite

Does this step brick you phone? I tried this on a W300i that I had gotten earlier in the day and panicked when I killed it. I recently tried again, and killed it again. Both times I just reflashed the main to repair. I did try Far 1 time, but might have had the wrong settings. I might try again if you say the phone shouldn't work while flashing with *_p3k_dcu.49R.ssw

Sorry but i need some help
i tried a lot of things but i could not manage to get flash menüs on my phone.whenever i want to conect my phone to the xs++ it says failed open. I would be glad if someone could help me bacause i am not very good in stuff like this.
My phone is a w880i

Ok Sorry about the stupid question. I got the answer. my filtering software wouldn't let me see the tutorial. Once I read it I got it to work.

One more question. I debranded my phone, but saved the cingular certificates. Has anyone tried to copy the certificates to the phone to get MobiTV to work? I don't ever plan on using MobiTV, or many of the other internet apps, but thought someone that might want to debrand and keep MobiTV could.

Oh, and where are the icons stored? I want to make a custom menu, using the icons, like the Alarm clock and others, but can't find them to make the icons I need.

you said that you have to derar the package but you havent said what package i need to download..

and does this works perfectly and even tough its cid49? because last time i tried my mobile stopped booting and i prefer to pay more attention this time and not rush things so if you have any articles you think are helpful and i should read please share with me...

Your problem isn't the instalation of the flash menus. Your problem is "failing to brak thru" so look for a guide how to flash first, and then you can think about modding. First look for the walkthrough how to flash phones using XS++ and Far manager. W300 is CID49 isn't it? If yes look for a tutor especially for the CID49 as it is different as for the CID36 phones.

Try to look for the tutor on esato.com or here. Dont wanna be an a**hole but if you find the info yourself, its better for you, you'll remember it better and more. But if you don't understand something or want additional info, don't hesitate to ask me, but ask after you know at least what we are gonna talk about. I had to read 309 + 43 pages of esato and talk to many people to get where i am now.;) Debranded, modded menu looks, layout and order, better quality of sound, 5 different camdrivers in phone (able to switch them without the use of a computer),
changed sms limit, some minor repairs and afterall flashed from k750 to w800. :eek: :D

will it take long if i follow this procedure? Is this flashing without bruteforce or not? Actually i dont understand what is bruteforce..Another member of this site gave me a tutorial but in his tutorial the steps tell me to both flash MAIN at FS Firmware..And in your tutorial, it didnt falash the FS..what is the difference on this two?? Can you explain??
