    you said that you have the gdfs backed up in your pc.....so then use it with setool and then ill tell you step by step what to do!!
    For gdfs just start setool select the gdfs backup and then click on write gdfs and it will work just fine!!!
    Need more info>>> in setool you can see the restore file field, you must point that to the backup of your gdfs, once you selected the file click on write gdfs and the wait for the process to finish.After this let me know what do you wanna do next and i'll help!

    hi everybody that helped me understand the files process etc thanks i now have the phone turing on and fireing up , i just need to unlock the sim lock , any simple guide thanks everyone that gave us a push my daughter is so happy just need to remove inactive sim lock

    right i have applied the patch and the phone powers up and it now wants a code to unlock the phone,,help help, this is the last stage

    Phone unlock code you can reset to 0000 with XS++,but if you need SIM code than use tutorial like @hyperion17 said

    hi thanks, we cant belive it after all this we are back to where we started 1 week ago , phone starts up , and sim is in and it still says sim lock, we went back into setool and read phone, still with netwok lock, is there any more we can do , thanks

    What is exactly the message you get? Insert correct SIM card(1) or it ask you to enter the phone lock(NOT sim lock) code(2)? If it is the (1) then follow hyperion17's link, otherwise do what seamonkey said.

    we went back into setool and read phone, still with netwok lock
    You will see your phone as locked in SETool2 Lite even if it is unlocked by patch, and accepts any SIM card. So put a SIM card from another network provider to make sure it is really un locked.

    hi it says on the phone after it starts up inactive sim, cant ring out and accept incoming calls
