hi
i want to re-flash my vodafone k800i to chinese firmware.
any past experiences or precautions on what i need to be aware of? are there any risks with this model?
or do i jus do a straightforward flash with xs++ 2.2

You should always first make a backup of GDFS , download chinese firmware ( main , filesystem and rught custom pack ) and then follow this instruction:

You can also use setool2lite if your phone is not CID 53.
Just look for compatible files that have Chinese language.

CDA: Generic China
