Probably the FS you want to flash is corrupted. Like seamonkey suggested use babecheck to check the FS. Depending on result we can give you more accurate guidance.

Ok first thanks to you all for bothering to help a newbie. Sorry for the not quick reply but got 3 red lights of death on my xbox and had to work out how to fix that. Now thats done back on this lol (i've had better months).

I downloaded "babeck 0.6" but i'm a bit unsure how to use it. I guessed with it being just an "exe" drag the firmware over it ?. The thing is when i did that a dos window pops up for a split second and i can't read anything it says before its gone. Then i tried the sony ericsson update service. It recognizes the phone but when it comes to flash (error try reconnecting). So not wanting to be defeated i bought a credit on wotan the results are below !!.

I think i've tried everything you guys have suggested ?? but if you've got any more always willing to try. Even if they come with warnings "this could kill your phone dont blame me" lol. Its a paperweight at the moment so got nothing to lose.
