white screen problem in w850i

hi, can u help me with my problem in my w850i when i slide it down my screen is getting white and getting disappear. can u help me out with my problem?

i thought if u slide down your phone it goes to standby mode? standby mode is the whole screen white, and a clock will be displayed if specified in configurations
