[SOLVED] Problem unlocking k800i

Okay, thanks OWIES... My question now is WHERE can i download xs++ 3.1? I can't download it here (on topsony) since I just recently became a member.

And is it hard to learn how to unlock my k800i with xs++? It took me forever to learn with setool so I hope it's not such a big difference....

You don't need to learn use XS++.Use it just to upgrade CID of your phone and unlock with Setool

Would appreciate if anyone could provide som information when it comes to firmware because I don't understand much when it comes to it

you need the main match to you firmware ( R1CB001 )
you can download it from Download Area
here how you can get access there:

and you need quick access patch match your firmware
and remov sim lock patch which generated with the main firmware file..
and see the guide how to unlock your phone with SETOOL2 LITE

If you know how to unlock using setool then do it that way :)

Guys, I managed to upgrade now but I still have problem.
This time it's the firmware.
Do I need to TWO firmwares or only ONE?
Where can I find the firmware? I couldn't find anything on 4shared.com.
My phone is R1CB001 CID 52.

It is pointless to reflash the FS(but if you do, then first backup everything from phone's internal memory, because all data will be lost). Just download the MAIN firmware, and follow the guide in first post of Remove SIM-lock patch generator thread(link in my signature).

´Simox, thanks for helping! Unfortunately there's another problem now :(
In the end, when I have flashed my phone and made the patch and I click on the "Write SCRIPT" button and connect my USB cable, than my phone starts although I press button C on phone.
Do you know what the problem is?

Tuki, i'm also a new member on top-sony forums and averything i can help you is to give u some web pages to find a solution for ur problem. I'm using k800i on vodafon(it was unlocked for all networks) and when i updated with seus (sonyericsson update service) it locked himself and become a cid 53 phone. Dont use seus for updating ur phone. Everythin what i could do is to pay for unlocking my phone. I wish u luck with this and be very carreful.

Struja, thanks for your advice, it's always good to know what to do and not do!
Right now I'm totally stuck and hope someone here recognizes the problem I explained above and knows how to help me.

I should have locked up my phone in my homecountry (Kosovo) when I was there during the summer because here in Sweden they charge way to much to unlock phones! My operator wants 35£.
