My 580 wont turn on, I even tried SE lite 1.11

I am not sure. The phone has been dropped twice but I just put it back together and everything was fine. A few nights ago I was charging the phone when the power went off then back on then off then on then off then on. I dont know if that hurt the phone but the problems started right after that.

My slide locked wouldnt work anymore so I checked out a few things. I had it set up to end a call by closing the slide and that still worked so I thought it might be a software thing. I download sonys update program but after 10 tries that led to failure I stopped trying.

I came across this board so i got SE lite and reflashed my phone. I cant reflash the GDFS because I dont have enough download privilges. I guess that my next step is to download new firmware and try to update it. The phone is only a month old and I am already ready to replace it.

I tired to use "recovery" but this what I got.
