My 580 wont turn on, I even tried SE lite 1.11

Now my 580 wont turn on. I have use se tool lite 1.11 to update the GDFS and everything worked right but my phone still wont turn on.

I cant download the firmware because I am new here. What else can I do besides shooting this phone?

I am not sure. The phone has been dropped twice but I just put it back together and everything was fine. A few nights ago I was charging the phone when the power went off then back on then off then on then off then on. I dont know if that hurt the phone but the problems started right after that.

My slide locked wouldnt work anymore so I checked out a few things. I had it set up to end a call by closing the slide and that still worked so I thought it might be a software thing. I download sonys update program but after 10 tries that led to failure I stopped trying.

I came across this board so i got SE lite and reflashed my phone. I cant reflash the GDFS because I dont have enough download privilges. I guess that my next step is to download new firmware and try to update it. The phone is only a month old and I am already ready to replace it.

I tired to use "recovery" but this what I got.

ok use setoolslite to back up your GDFS its free.

Its really important you do this.

Then copy the log you get from setools lite back into this post so we can advise you.

I got it to turn on again. I had to get the right flash files then flash it but they were the wrong files. My phone works but it is completely differnet than before. What do I need to do in order to download the files from here? I am not allowed to get them now.

I know know what happened.

I tired to update the ASIA software I just installed but just like before the installation failed and the phone failed to turn back on.

Time to reflash. Any thoughts on why I am having so many problems updating my software?
