CID53 Firmware into CID52 Phone

In this tutorial we will be flashing a DB2020 CID52 with CID53 RED Firmware (Cross CID Flashing).

(K810 R8BF003 Main Generic CID53 Red, into K800 CID52).

Firstly we need to use either SETool2 Lite 1.11 or jdflasher, I’ll be using jdf.
If your not familiar with jdflasher please look Flashing with jdflasher, and take a look at the other guides in the tutorial section.

YOU MUST ALREADY have quick access patch applied to your phone to DB2020 Cross CID flash before you carry on.

Before we can flash our CID53 Firmware in to our CID52 phone we must convert into .raw format using a program like GExtract, main2raw etc... (personally I prefer GExtract).

Generate a Quick Access patch for the FW we’re flashing with and keep it handy for after we flash our Main FW, if you don’t apply this after flashing the Main Firmware file and you plan on patching your phone it means you have to flash back to a CID52 Firmware so you can apply QA patch.

So now we have our CID53 Firmware in .raw format and a QA Patch (generate in mbn format), we need to flash it.

Enter jdflasher using “qa2020” and enter bflash
(remember we need to flash using QA to Cross CID flash DB2020).



Using your mouse, drag the Firmware file (.raw) over to the flash window of Far Manager then press “copy”.

In the next window we MUST choose to flash as .raw file!!!!!!!!!
Set the start/length addresses of your Firmware file.

K8## Main Firmware file:
Start = 4414 0000
Length = 01CC 0000

K8## FS Firmware file.
Start = 45E0 0000
Length = 00DC 0201 (jdflasher should auto detect the length)



Then press “yeah, flash it” (I still laugh at that :P)



If you plan on applied any patches YOU MUST apply QA Patch now!!!!



There is only 1/2 R8BF003 FS Firmware files to download so I’ll be using a Europe 2 R8BA024 CID52 FS firmware file and uploading all the driver’s from an R8BF003 FS file, acoustic/camera driver’s etc... (Only 1 BF region at the minute I think).

But personally the only real purpose of this tutorial is to give K810 user’s the benefits of using the newer R8BF003 Firmware rather than R8BA024 which is quite buggy so I’ll keep it short but to a Flash CID53 FS Firmware file into CID52 phone it’s done in the same way only you use FS Firmware address.

DONT FORGET to apply Quick Access patch after flash main on DB2020!!!
Note: I was also stuck with having only English language to select when I used R8BA024 FS, so look into how to add .lng’s.
