Network Lock

Can you not lock by flashing specific codes found in customize.xml to the phone using customize_upgrade.xml?

For instance the following locks the phone to network and sp (Network=Rogers, SP=Fido in Canada). Look at the cust pack for Z710 for Fido_Canada

Thanks for the reply. Just curious, I am assuming I would have to use FAR to get access to the customize_upgrade.xml? I am a nub to Sony Ericsson so please forgive the ignorant question. Also, should this work, is it possible to create a customization file for a phone model that I can later apply to different phones?
