K800i CID53 locked again!!!!!!

Hi Friends,

I have been gone through some post in this site to unlock my SE k800i( locked to vodafone UK) successfully. I was using my pone abord with other networks. Recently, I have connected my phone to lastest SEUS ( not intenstionally).

SEUS updated my phone to CID53 and locked it to Vodafone network. This is first time i am facing this kind of problems. I love to use this phone.

Can any one please help me how can i reover my phone back to earlier version of CID ??(may be 52) or how to unlock CID 53 phone.

Your early response will be highly appriciated.

I can´t help but wonder WHY you people have tried to update your phones with SEUS?

CID53 DB2020 patching is not available for free yet. You will have to wait some time if you want to unlock your phone free. If you want it unlocked these days, you will need to pay for some of the online flashing clients which support CID53 DB2020 unlocking. :)

I have a k800i cid53 and until the patch and setool supports cid 53
i am using a simcard unlock card which clips underneath your simcard and makes the phone think it still has the original locked simcard in it. I have a locked se k800i cid53 and i brought one of these simcard unlock cards and it works fine i was on the O2 network now i am using my vodafone nz simcard and its working fine.

Post above^ If you have read the above couple of posts you would of found out that CID53 is impossible to downgrade to CID52 and CID53 patching is not available. Is the same for K810i, k800i and other previous CID52 phones on platform Db2020.

Taking all of the above into account what do you guys think of the following PAY options:

Unlocking my SE K810i CID53 DB2020 over the internet:
1. Which is the most reliable and organizations that can do this service?
2. How much will it cost as I get confused with the "buy 1 credit but you will need like 50 to unlock the phone"?

What do you guys think of rgillyz's:
1. A "simcard unlock card which clips underneath [the] simcard and makes the phone think it still has the original locked simcard in it" (as above)?
2. I looked at the organization's website http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.13532 but it somewhat looks suspicious or dodgy - what do you guys think?
3. I get the feeling that this simlock card unlock is similar to e.g. if you don't see optometrist wearing contact lenses then don't wear them yourself). Is this option dangerous to the phone?
