K770i Cemara Problem

When ever i slide open the camera lence cover it gives me an error message "Another application is running. Close it, then start the camera." even when i try to use the camera from other applications i receive the same message.

Can anyone let me know whether it is a software problem or a hardware fault.

i started receiving this error message after my K770i slipped from hand and fell on the floor.
