W880i unreadable display ( missing letters )

Hi,

I have just received my new W880i

When i turn it on the text in the display
is unreadable ( meaning it looks like a handfull
of letters have been thrown out on the screen )

You can call the mobile, but it is not easy to use
when you have to guess the text.

EROM: RED CID53
GDFS: CDA 102719/98

Do you have any suggestions what to do ?? Please help ...


It seems like the phone is okay, but all the text strings
are completly corrupt when you check them from the
service menu...

why not go to the store they might just change it,u never know because u have recently bought it.

or try to flash it but i would say go to the store

I agree, if its under warranty would be easier all round to return the handset.

If you flash it you run the risk of voiding any warranty that is still attached to the phone.

Thanx - It is brand new so I returned it to service ( I guess that they will flash it )
