I have ran into a couple of problems with some patches, see this thread: w580i r8be001 patches! - Top Sony Forums

I am still looking for a way to silence the beep when shooting video. I was able to silence the shutter finally!

I am also wondering if there is a way around the problem when playing videos that are not in the video folder. You can't FF or REW unless the video is in the video folder.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks to everyone who have found ways around some of SE's shortcomings.

if you have it on silence mode it should not beep. And you can play videos even if they are not in the video folder but you can't fast forward or rewind the video.
