Can I ask you why you want to upgrade the CID? You will not gain anything, then again you will not be able to customize/patch the phone.

Just use the sonyericsson update service (seus) from Sony Ericsson - Sony Ericsson
it will update the phone to cid:50, but it's better to have cid:49.
