Hello,
I've bought an original ('non branded') w610i that has the EUROPE_2 languages in it. I would like to add/change it to the Dutch language (EUROPE_3). The SE update service didn't help me, it just installed the same languages/firmware it already had (R6BC002.. RED53). And there seem to be no options to select what region you want to install in the original SE software.
I tried XS++, but it doesn't seem to support CID53 phones (don't know if Se_Tool supports it, but that programm crashed on me so I can't use it anyway).
So here is what I would like to do: Replace the *original* EUROPE_2 firmware with a version of the *original* EUROPE_3 firmware. So only the language options would change.
I've found out that I need these at the least:
- W610_R6BC002_MAIN_GENERIC_NA_RED53
- W610_R6BC002_FS_EUROPE_3_RED53
And is there in my case any need for a custpack? The name seems to imply that it adds something "custom". I don't really need (added) custom things. Only the language needs to change.
What might be the safest/easiest way to get this firmware on a CID53 w610i? Will the phone become unusable if I don't use a custpack?
Thanks already!
