I have some questions:
- can you tell exactly how to install .ttf fonts on SE K800i?
- is there any way to preview the changes made in layout.xml, in order to see if the fonts we intend to install would look good on the menu, before they are uploaded in the phone?

There is no way to preview the FONTS on the phone before actual upload to the phone.
I discovered that the best way to tell if the new font will fit properly is by the size of the letters and numbers.
By clicking on the ttf file it will open preview window. Look at the picture below.

To install fonts you have to modify FONTS.XML file and along with FONT.TTF upload it to the phone vis XS++.

To upload LAYOUT.xml file into your phone use XS++ 2.2 and follow these steps:
- in XS++ installation folder find the folder named "files to upload"
- in the folder "files to upload" add the following folder structure containing LAYOUT.xml file: TPA\SYSTEM\LAYOUT\LAYOUT.xml
- open XS++ and press connect button
- hold the "C" key on you phone and connect the USB cable
- go to XS++, select "FSX" and press "START FSX"
- wait for operation to finish

To change your layout, use Far, it's very easy. The path is: FS\TPA\SYSTEM\LAYOUT\

i remove the operator logo now ... and i now i wann replace the operator logo with my name or something ... how can i do that ?

for that you have to create a vkp patch, and use hex/binary editor to create values corresponding to what you want to be displayed where operator logo used to be.
i am still researching that area, but i would advise against it right now as results are somewhat disappointing so far, with other users that tried to do that.
