    K810i uses joystick to take photos!

    I got a second hand K810i and it could only take photos with the joystick button. I would press the joystick button and it would auto-focus then take a photo. I was expecting to use the dedicated camera button on the side of the phone, but that never worked.

    Anyway, my phone is CID53 (naughty SEUS) so I reflashed my phone with K810_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_RED53, K810_R8BA024_FS_EUROPE_2_RED53 and customised it with HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_11_R8A_GENERIC_EUROPE_2 and it still does not work with the dedicated camera button.

    Is this a common problem? How can I fix it?
    Thanks
    Darren

    Re: K810i uses joystick to take photos!

    When I got the phone and noticed this problem I did the "Service Tests" in the hidden menus (>*<<*<*) and the camera focus button worked perfectly in the "Keyboard" test. Funnily enough, the button no longer works.

    I will have a look into it when I take the phone apart to put on a new screen glass in a few weeks time.

    Thanks

    @avsb

    I took the phone apart and found that the problem was with the switch inside the phone. Pushing it with a pen a few times seemed to release it. Now the button works perfectly. Thanks for the suggestion.
