newbie unlocking

hi all
newbie to cell phone unlocking...i have a sony ericson w850i that is provider locked...how do i unlock this phone and what tools do i need to do it and where do i find the tools to do it with...all help is greatly appreciated:)

If the EROM CID is less than 53, then you can unlock your phone for free. Follow the guides linked by robby.
