i will try that again but when I tried that earlier, I could not get the phone to reconnect after the first flash.

tried again stopped at block 309 of first flash (MAIN) then after that won't connect to phone.

Try flashing GDFS first, then flash main and fs separately. Then ifthat works flash with custom.

You could also check with babe header (I think) to see if files are corrupt.

thanks. can gdfs be flashed with xs or does it have to be sectool. also, sorry, I don't understand the babe header bit......... what to check and how to correct it.
