Dead k800

Hi, I have a K800i cid 52 red on 3 which I have tried to unlock using setool2 lite 1.11. I firstly backed up the gdfs then flashed 'K800_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED52.mbn' onto it with a newly created 'quick_access_K800_R8BA024.vkp'. This all seemd to work fine and no errors were reported in the software. Prob is I now have a dead phone, no white screen or blinking ir led. I have tried to restore the gdfs to no avail. It gets as far as executing CS Loader and dies with a wrong response. the phone originally had cid49 R1ED001 firmware. the Cid was changed some time ago to 52 using wotan server, which offered to update when the phone was plugged into it. Does anyone have any thoughts as to whats gone wrong or how this can be reset/restored ?

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I now realise this was my fault. I tried to flash the phone just using the charger without the battery in. The phone obviously needs that bit more power to blow the eprom. it works fine now using xs but can you give me a link to instructions on how unlock using xs, as I don't seem to have that much luck with setool2!

You can`t unlock your phone by using xs++,only setool lite.

Thanks again for your response. I have tried the patch as per instructions from your link, using a patch generated by the firmare currently on the phone(K800_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED52.mbn). This seems to go on correctly apart from one popup saying 'some patch values differs, continue ?' I continued at this point. After it has completed and I run the identify it shows errors and the phone will no longer switch on. Any thoughts as to why this should error ?

Has anyone got thoughts on why this K800i should produce the 'some patch values differs, continue ?' error, when applying the remove lock patch with setool2, as mentioned in the previous text.

You might be using a patch of another version...I suggest you flash to K810 R8BA024,and then unlock...

@huggim2 first debrand your phone, then unlock with Setool.

But you MUST NOT flash the phone after patching!!!That's why it is locked then...
