Unlock W880i

Hello everyone,

i am a little stuck :(

I have a w880i On ORANGE. I want it to use a O2 sim.

1. Ok i have USB flash driver working. DONE
2. I have backed up GDFS file DONE
3. Im stuck what firm ware i need for the phone, Im from UK, i looked on list but unsure what one to choose, i take it any from the FS_Europe section from **HERE** :(

You want to flash it to use it with a O2 sim,that`s all?

yes as you have said above. i think i was confused before and thought i had to flash firmware. When i don't think i need to.

really gratful for a reply mate. spent like 5hrs on this and no luck :(

i just want phone to work on O2 sim as its orange at moment :(

yes mate

says insert correct sim:mad:

Then you have SIM-Lock,you can`t insert another sim,only the sim
from your provider!
Firmware flashing can`t remove the sim-lock

Please use the THANKS BUTTON ;)

First you must upgrade your phone to CID52.Connect it with XS++3.1,then
XS++ ask you to upgrade the CID.

thanks for help so far.

I have updated to CID52.

i have unlocked the phone I THINK:confused: because i followed guide using setool2lite... but now i get config error:confused:. I think i need a custom firmware from what i can see :confused:

Where do i get a custom firmware:cool:

Can you give us a more in-depth run down as to what you actually did to end up with a config error.

Did you just update the CID from 51 to 52 or did you go more in-depth like trying to install an updated main and fs as well.

How did you unlock your phone, did you use a vkp patch?
