FREE Unlocking W200 possible or not?

I have been reading soe old threads about unlocking a W200 and I got very confused. Some posts say it is possible to unlock this type of phone while other say it is not. Other say is possible, but not for free.

My question is quite simple: it is possible to unlock a W200 for FREE?

No it's not true....Not yet
Maybe you are confused because Setool 3 BOX can do it for free....
But not supported by a free software yet

Your answer makes me wonder why is not yet possible to unlock this model? It has been around for a while already. Are there any specific reason for not having a free option to unlock it?

Reason?There is not support for patching DB2012 with setool2lite.....
Because this is a LITE version of the software of Setool 3 box....
You can only patch at the moment:
DB2010 CID49
DB2020 CID52

You cannot. Yes, you can generate unlock patch for W200 firmwares, but there is no free tool to apply the generated patches.

what is it you don't understand in "no free db2012 patching"?
only if you have bought SEtoolbox 3 you can do it for free.

question what about a k310i converted into a w200? how can i unlock it? for the moment its still locked in one service provider >.<

If your K310 phone is CID49 then you can unlock it for free by patch(link in signature), using the W200 firmware.
