W550i R4CB020 patchs not working.

does a brand new W550I come with firmware other than EMEA?

I'm really not sure which was it the very 1st time i applied a patch which resulted in my phone not working. so, if i get myself an EMAE firmware, would i need to get the same FS and CUSTPACK, or just same FS and doesn't matter which custpack?


i found the tutorial on how to apply patch files to phone on this forum.

i believe it goes something like this:
1. start xs++
2. turn phone off and remove battery, sim and memory card
3. insert battery back
4. connect phone while holding c button after starting identify by clicking on connect on xs++
5. click patch
6. select patch file you want to apply
7. click on write script
