W550i R4CB020 patchs not working.

i've found a few patches for my phone but everytime i try patching them my phone stops working and i have to full flash.

is this phone model capable of using patches? if yes, then what is it i should be doing exactly?

i know most people are already no the elves packs. and all i hear is putting things in the M2. W550i don't have memory slot, so can i leave patches and start thinking of elves if it can use them in other folder in phone's on board memory?

i'd really like to patch, no matter wit vkp's or elves but i'm tired of having to start my phone's main, FS and custpack.

HELP IN THIS REGARD WILL BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED

I've tried radio_without_headsets.vkp and sms_time.vkp

both could not work and i had to flash main, fs and custpack. flashing gdfs back up couldn't work

i'm using my phone for web at the moment and i can't post the log. but i never got any errors while patching.

i was using xs++ and it indicated that patching was successful but phone didn't work after.

i'll try to post log or both of them. but what's important is dat patching was successful. night it be that i got wrong patch files?

listen... if u gt a firmwares Other than EMEA... then it wont work..

as the patches r not designed for them..
any ways how can u patch w550i using xs++..

does a brand new W550I come with firmware other than EMEA?

I'm really not sure which was it the very 1st time i applied a patch which resulted in my phone not working. so, if i get myself an EMAE firmware, would i need to get the same FS and CUSTPACK, or just same FS and doesn't matter which custpack?


i found the tutorial on how to apply patch files to phone on this forum.

i believe it goes something like this:
1. start xs++
2. turn phone off and remove battery, sim and memory card
3. insert battery back
4. connect phone while holding c button after starting identify by clicking on connect on xs++
5. click patch
6. select patch file you want to apply
7. click on write script

please see the tutorial section in the forum for detailed instruction with pictures provided.

w550i comes with main firmwares... like EMEA,APAC,CHINA,AMERICA... etc

depends on the manufacturing unit...


u can know the firmware from the log itself...

post the picture of the xs++ when it is connected to w550i..

someone posted a few links that helped me find the files you are looking for.

i ended up no some weird site and really struggled to download the files, maybe i tried 8 or more times to get i single file but i did get them eventually. so don't lose hope.
