Is it safe for me to unbrand?(w580)

I want to use wotan to unbrand my new w580. But I have a few concerns. I'm mostly worried about the success rate since I've read some of the posts here about failed unbranding which pretty much destroyed their phone. Do you think someone like me who have never done anything like this before should unbrand it by myself? Or should I take it to a store and let them do it for me? Another concern I have is that the w580 is a new phone so is there a chance that the firmware I download could be unstable or defective?

    Thanks in advanced.

Oh and also, what is this xs++ that people talk about? Is it an alternative to wotan?

Xs can't flash W580 with finalizating, so easiest way - use Wotan, it is safety, don't listen to other people. All will be ok if you will do all in property way.

Thanks. So it's not worth it to take it to a shop and let someone else do it?

If you want cheaper way - 99% Wotan will be cheaper then any shop, but if it's a reliable shop with good rep and warranty - it is much more sure, you don't depend on Internet connection or things you could do wrong, because it's your first time!

You also can flash your phone by Davinci for 10 euro and Kukakendi also for 6 euro.

It seems like things will be fine if you do it yourself but take the time to figure out exactly how to do it.

I'd say, if you don't mind spending 10 bucks, it seems people are really happy with using wotan

Yeah, I used wonton on my W580i, and then also used it for my friend's W850i, worked fine.

Wait, so you can't do this at all with XS++? or what do you mean by "finalizating"? I also have SE tool lite 2; is it possible to use that to flash it?
