It upgrades your phone to the latest firmware available on Sony Ericsson without losing any of your user data (contacts, games, pictures etc.). It is also the official way to upgrade your firmware from Sony Ericsson thus it will not void your warranty. The only caveat is that firmware available on Sony Ericsson is always a step behind things like wotan server. For example, the latest wotan firmware for K800 is R1KC001 whereas that on Sony Ericsson is R1JG001.

i have a w850i and tried to update with SEUS. the only response i get is your phone is up to date. my firmware is R1ED001 the old one

u can use SESU with Vista by setting its compability to Windows XP (SP2) or Windows 2000....it worked for me....but its not officialy supported until later in the year or so

I was set up compatibility with all Widnowses one after one and always it appears " Macomedia blablabla you are a dumbass vista does'nt have java virtual machine etc "

Spaztikdude your are right SEUS first downloads full image file and flashing is done then .........yes its only way to freeze d phone to dissconnect d cable.......hahaa

You are all right ... but you omited a lil important thing... SEUS may upgrade your CID(example i have a k310 and i made my last flash with seus...i had R4EC031 and seus changed it to R3EC001)anyway my phone was CID49 red and after flash with seus it was CID 51 :( ... P.S. procedure reversible... seus only changes the GDFS CID(OTP CID remains the same) so it is possible to get back to old CID...
