yes, it is a max temperature supported by phones(aprox. 60°C)...but i don't think you damaged it. does it works normally, just like it worked before that?

You Didnt Damaged It. Hard Drive Internally Works At Around 40°C And After It Comes HardDrive Casing Then Some Space Between It And Notebook Casing So The Phone Was Probably Max At 30°C Which Is Less Than Half Of Max Your Phone Can Bear (About 80°C). So You Dont Need To Panic :)

only battery life may get reduced due to temperature exposure. Only thing is don't put the mobilei in fire!

    Re: Phone's maximum temperature

placing ur phone over your laptop isn't something very fatal dude.
    don't worry, nothing's gonna happen.

i used to put my previous K750i over the dashboard of my car when driving and listening to MP3s via it so 80% of the time, the cell would be in direct sunlight.

the temperature in Pakistan avg is 40-50 deg centigrade, so you can imagine the heat in summers (around 55 deg C) ... nothing happened to the cell phone's life ... i used my previous k750i for more than 2 years in very rough conditions.

i didnt' changed any part, no issues faced by heat what-so-ever, so stop worrying.

    Re: Phone's maximum temperature

Well. My w580i can get really hot and when I checked my brothers w660i with ftp_bt_108 (witch is a bad program) it showed 31 Celsius. And I don't think there is a "limit" but if your phone is around 60 - 100 you are pretty much screwed.
