well its a hard lesson to learn... Ive done it myself, not just with phones either!!
You can use loads of software out there to back up, like myphoneepxplorer is one i always use. Can be a bit temperamental on the Com ports but once all the drivers are installed is a really easy piece of software to use.

It is not available yet.
But it is best to keep CID 52, otherwise you can not add patch with free tools untill now.
