Unlock W660i Orange

Hi My phone is locked to orange it is the W660i I would like help to unlock it i have read a previous thread on how to unlock them but it has not worked for me please can you help me and teach me how to unlock it please thank You.

All the previous stages work fine until i have to patch it with se tools can someone please tell me what i am doing wrong thank you

Ah You did same as me I suppose.

when you were flashing the quick access patch you didn't wait till it had finished. It really looks like the app has hung or the flash is complete as you get the "SSW uploading finished" message.

BUT it hasn't even started yet!!

It has to add blocks, read them then write them it takes a good 1226 seconds :) wotzaten about 20 minutes?

You must sit and wait for the "elapsed xxxx seconds" message in status bar

Do it again from the begining and watch for the on screen instructions.

what happens when i wait is that it cancels itself after a few seconds when i tick apply quick access patch and i put the patch in the misc files and click write scripts after a few minutes it cancels

whenever i connect my phone and press write script it goes into file transfer mode

I am refering to applying the quick access patch using the flash button in the step before you apply the generated patch using script.

The error you made is in not waiting at this point.

With SETool2 Lite v1.11.
1. Select your phone model.
2. In Windows Explorer drag the MAIN file (.mbn) onto [SETool2 Lite v1.11 folder]\qamaker\qamaker.exe. In the qamaker's folder you will get a quick_access_XXXX_XXXXXXX.vkp file.
3. Click on ... (three dots) button near MISC files box, and select the vkp file generated in step 2.
4. Tick Bypass DB2020 security checkbox.
5. Click on Add button and select the MAIN firmware file.
6. Press FLASH button.
7. Follow the instructions given by SETool2 Lite.
8. READ THIS CAREFULLY, it is a little tricky: When a dialog pop-up, click "Yes" to remove the patch. Click "No" to add the patch. In this case click on "No" button.

At one moment you will belive that nothing happens and the status windows is not changing! DO NOT remove the CABLE! Wait until "ELAPSED x SECONDS" appears in status window.

you must redo this quick acess patch and wait till it writes before you can proceed.

it still won't work for me this is impossible any body have any other ideas it says it has worked fine but it hasn't am i meant to disconnect my phone imbetween xs and se tools

how do you glash the quick access flash

If you are not understanding what I am saying then you have not followed the tut properly

Did you, In Windows Explorer, drag the MAIN file (.mbn) that you will be using for firmware onto [SETool2 Lite v1.11 folder]\qamaker\qamaker.exe. In the qamaker's folder and get a quick_access_XXXX_XXXXXXX.vkp file.

This is the first file that you add to the MISC box using the 3 dots

It is NOT the vkp file that you made using SIMLockPatchGen.exe.

This IS the one that was created in the SETool2 Lite v1.11 folder !


Then you Click on Add button and select the MAIN firmware file.


Then you press the FLASH button. NOT the write script that is in the next stage

It then looks like its doing nowt but it needs to load, read, write the vkp file and it takes 20 minutes on my phone dont disconnect till you get the elapsed xxxx seconds in status bar


This is NOT adding the patch itself but preparing the firmware to accept the patch.
