setool lite and xs++ freezing during flash w850

hi all

first post so here it goes


i am trying to write my gdfs on my w850

i have had a few problems now the phone will not switch on

i have read some threads and general reason seems to be the gdfs is bad

but when i try to write my back up both setool lite and xs++ just freeze

and nothing happens

also getting this set_gdfs_props failed
am i going round in circles is this why i can not write my back up or does this mean i need to write my back up if so why is it making both application hang

this is a simple process that is doing me in

all help on this will be greatly recieved

what versions of both programs are u using? each program can still see/recognize the phone right?

sorry seems to be going from bad to worst

managed to get back up gdfs to write and also done full flash
now when the phone connects it disconnects after 10 seconds
even when not running any flash software it only stays connected to the pc for 10 seconds at the most
i think i have killed it
software is XS++ v3.1 and SETOOL LITE v3.1

and non of the software recognises the phone now
