Sure. Just transfer the files (usually .mp3) over to your phone via Bluetooth or the USB cable to play them. I do this all the time. If you have your podcasts organized in iTunes all of the meta information is already included in the files. The w580i audio player reads the ID3 tags without a problem.

I suspect however that you probably meant to ask if there was a way to subscribe and (automatically) download a podcast directly to the phone while away from your computer. The answer to this is no. At least not with the native applications that came with the w580i. It's cheaper to transfer them manually than to accrue data charges for your phone. Some of my podcasts have been upwards of 50MB! :(

You might be able to script something that detects when your phone is connected (with USB) or in range (with Bluetooth) and copies a pre-defined directory from your Music folder to your w580i. That would at least help automate the process. You'd still have to solve the problem of selecting which podcasts are copied to the source folder though..

    thanks for the reply iisdev.

and yes, i'm looking for a way to subscribe to podcast. probably something like a native app. i got unlimited data plan, so download podcast directly isn't much of a problem...other than the speed and the power that it drains....

you need to watch your unlimited data plans. many carriers hide little things in the terms of service and downloading large files, music and so forth are not part of your data plan.
