Shorting to downgrade CID53.... Has it been tried??

I'm new to the SE w580i but have been modding for about 3-4 years now on ROKR's and Moto E1...

Has this CID53 unbranded FW been released??
Can I downgrade the CID to 52?
Yes I'm on AT&T and have read a lot already on unlocking patches, FW, and unbranding the w580i...

I'm already connected with newest setool2lite_1.11, XS++, MenuEdit, qamaker, SIMLockPatchGen, and I have W580_R8BE001_MAIN_GENERIC_LA_RED52 and W580_R8BE001_FS_AMERICA_2_RED52...

I also have W580_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_LA_RED52.mbn and W580_R8BA024_FS_AMERICA_2_RED52.fbn which are my choosen FW cause of the light bug issue...

Any ideas or can someone link me to the best post here for these issues...

I have gone through the first 2 pages of FW flashing & unlocking...

Is it possible to downgrade to CID 52???

I'm at the point where I think we need cross pins (I forgot the name but you have to block or short within the female part on the phone where you plug in the usb cord...)

I never actually did it on the E1 but I wonder if this trick can be applied here...

Mine is a Refurb I got for 20 bucks from ATT so I'm ready to do some damage to it!!!

I miss my E2! Laugh if you like... I'm finding all my games and apps, movies and shows I converted will work on this phone but the OS is locked!!! Give me a break on this SE stuff... I'm almost ready to go back to my E1 which I still have...

And Seriously cross pins on this 580...

The way the phone sounds when I make or receive calls is awful!!! The people I talk to hear it too so its really embarrassing since the modded E2 I had had no such probs just an occasional skip listening to mp3s...

I do like this phone though so I'ld really like to be successful at hacking it...

Thanx in advance and all comments and insight welcome!!!

    :)

I just found this so I'm posting like crazy to get to the dl section:

ITS TESTED I'VE DONE IT SEVERAL TIMES..... mine arrived with R7 and now is R8...

No, you can`t downgrade your cid number and if you want access to download section , read this first:

As far as I know, the new XS++ (3.2) will support CID53 and then you'll be able to flash/debrand. And there is no way you can lower the CID unless you updated a CID52 yourself and have the CID52 EROM from before the update...

once updated cid cannot be downgraded.
no matter what cid you had previously
at least not only by software means; you need to look into hardware for things like test points or something

    Nice day
    Thanx buddy...

I have found all your fw and fs and everything else you have for free in other places but for some reason I feel this site is trustworthy... I am an admin on another cellphone site which practices opensource so I respect the rules here...

However, a month and other stipulations seems pretty heavy just to dl software that is readily available elsewhere...

Well, I've received the help I was looking for "here" so much respect to the admin and this site... There must have been some real bad stuff going on in the beginning to warrant such strict dl rules....

But again I can understand...

thanx and have a nice day too :p

    :)
