Porting Patches?

I read somewhere that you can port patches made for one phone onto other phones. If that is true then can someone tell me how? I also read that there is some depeha's tutorial which tells you how to port patches. I want to port patches for the w 850i onto the w830i. Thanks

yes, you can port patches but it's hard to do.
