Best way to go about unlocking K800i

Check this thread: Remove SIM-lock patch generator. But I think SEUS upgraded the EROM CID to 53, so probably you cannot unlock your phone for free.

Ive been out to get get a few quotes from places that unlock phones that are CID53, the most most expensive was £30.00 and the cheapest being £15, I was going to go for the £15 option but they said it would take until monday and I due to work would not be able to pick it up until next saturday and did not want to wait.

What I am more interested in is how they actually go about unlocking CID53 Ive spent ages searching the net for ways to unlock CID53 the only thing ive found is remote unlocking cheapest £30 (no guarantee's this will work). My question is what are the phone shop doing? how do they do it? That is what I am interested in.

With no knowledge of unlocking I unlocked my phone when it was CID52, using simlockpatchgen and setools and a guide. So I dont understand what it actually did to unlock my phone only that I had new menus and any sim card would work at the end Can someone explain what actually removed the lock from the phone? or point me to where I could read about this.

One last question :P

K800_R8BF003_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED53 (same as my phone now)

Can I not follow the same guide using these files? or does SEtools not support CId53?

If you have that files you can work in jdflasher! And you can unlock your phone!
