    Keypad lights dead in w550i

My w550i had WSOD and i had given it for flashing, after getting back the phone and noticed that the nice orange keypad lights are gone, except for the lights on the main buttons like left soft key............. all the number pad lights are gone. I asked the guy whom i had given the phone and he said flashing the firmware doesnt do any harm to the led's

i have already paid a large amount to flash my phone and cant pay more to get back the lights, so can anyone plz help me in figuring this out

    THANKS

sorry to hear that, flashing the firmware doesn't harm the leds, it could be a hardware problem. try doing this, whit the phone turned on enter the service menu by pressing >*<<*<* (<,> meaning the directional keys left and right), then go to "Service tests" then to LED/illumination and Select then all leds should turn on and off. if they don't turn on probably they is a hardware problem.

probably, by accident or willingly, i still belive it is a hardware problem. you should go to another service and ask them to check it. I don't think that reflashing should solve the problem but try it anyway. Good Luck!!!

To fix your problem on the keypad lights is to change the flex of your phone cause this is where the lights are embedded. Maybe there is a short on your phone 1 factor is water...
