CID53 help...?

Hello. I got a Sony Ericsson W580i with AT&T about 3 weeks ago and I've heard that I can't flash it if I have CID53. What exactly is CID53? And how can I know if I have it?

Oh and one other thing. Why are there so many firmwares for the W580i? And which one would you recommend? I was thinking about getting the W580_R8BE001_FS_AMERICA_1_RED52, but I'm not sure.

There are many firmware because it's for a part of the world. Exampel: europe_4 is Scandinavia.

R8, R9, and so on, in a F\W stay for "Release Number". the higher the latest...often the better.
