    Question K850i

    Hello,

I am a owner of a K810i, and I want to by a K850i. Should I buy it, or should I buy another phone? Yes, I know modding is not free for this phone, but can someone give me website of the paied modding tools? I heard complains about the touch-sensitive keys under the screen, and dirty under the lens. Some tips/ideas?

    Re: K850i

    I've got the same issue.

Currently have a K800i which I've been using since it first came out and absolutly love it! It served me very well however its getting a bit old now and I'm thinking about getting the new K850 though bit concerned on its reliability.

I've been hearing a lot of horror stories where the phone has huge issues soon as its taken out of the box. Ie, turning off for no reason, dust under lens cover, bad quality photos, dark photos etc.

I've tryed it out at a phone shop the other day and it feels great to use, very friendly and simple just like the K800 though I also took a photo and was not overly impressed, also was testing out nokia n95 8gig and that took much better photos at that time, note I didn't play with any camera setting on neither phones.

Is it worth upgrading to K850? And has anyone had any issues with it?

    Cheers.

    Re: K850i

I hav buy K850i, and so far I'm very satisfied with this phone. The back speaker is much louder than K800i. I think touch-sensitive keypad works fine...
The dust in lens itself happens, but without noticeable pic quality loss..

And I hav no problems, except this one:

My prev handphone (K800i),if reached 100% when charging, the battery signs would stop blinking.

Nah, in my K850i, when already 100%, the battery bar still blinking (means the charging process still happens)

Then I disconnect it because I'm afraid the battery will explode...

Does anyone here suffers this issue?

    Thx Be4,

    Hiron

Thumbs up Re: K850i firmware flaws!

:phorror stories is only related to firmware and not with hardware, you can at any time upgrade firmware of 850 to remove flaws from old firmware, so go ahead if you want 5mp camera!:):)
