First time "quick access" patch, is it really needed only once?

Most guides start by explaining how to do this one time only patch so later one, we can select "quick access" patch.

    My questions:

    1) You are saying that this only needs to be done once but, what if I update my firmware (MAIN/FS/CUSTPACK), will I need to re-apply this quick access patch?

    2) What is this quick access patch good for? Does it speed up the phone, or the patching?

When You Reflash, All Patches Vanish Away Incl. Quick Access. You'll Need To Apply It Again.
For DB2020 Phones Patching Needs To Bypass Security Meaning That SeTool Always Need To Flash Main Before Applying Patch. After Quick Access Patch, You Wont Need To Go For This Shit. You May Directly Add New Patches Without Flashing Main.

    You are confusing me...

First you say that when I reflash I'll have to apply the quick access patch. Then you say after applying the quick access patch I won't need that shit anymore.

    What does this mean?

What if the only patch I want to add is the SIM lock patch. Do I still need the quick access patch? Should I apply it everytime I do a new reflash?

Hmmm... Let Me Explain It To You.
You Apply Quick Aceess At Time Of Flashing MAIN. Thats The Only Way To Apply Quicaccess Patch.
Once The Quick Access Patch Is Applied, It Enables You To Add New Patches Without Flashing MAIN Any More.
If By Chance You Need To Reflash Your MAIN, It Will Remove All Patches Including Quickaccess So You Need To Start Over. I Hope Its Clear:)

No, You Dont Need Quick Access Patch. Well If Thats You Query, Use Every Method For Quickaccess Patch Except Quick Acess Itself. Confused...:D Let Me Make It Detailed:
    1. Open SeTool, Select You Phone And Add Your MAIN To Files
    2. Now Place A Check In "Bypass DB2020 Security".
    3. Now Add Your Generated Patch File (the vkp you generated from Remove Sim-Lock Patch Generator" To Misc Files.
    4. Hit Flash And Follow Instructions.
    5. Wait For The Long Procedure And You Are Done. You've Unlocked The Phone Without Quick Access.
