Question W800i Firmware flash.. Will it work in Oz?

I have the much commented on problem with my W800i not accessing Mp3 files despite using the sony software D2P. The walkman function has never worked properly since purchase. I now understand from reading some other threads that the problem IS with the original firmware R1N035.

It is a UK phone which I use now in Australia. It is unlocked and re-coded from brown to red36. My question is would flashing it with a EU firmware like W800_R1BC002_MAIN_EU_1_CA_RED36
relock my phone from use in Australia or cause any other issues I should be aware of before trying?

    Thanking you in advance..

If your phone is patch unlocked, then it will be locked again.

    Nice day

I had one problem with W800 R1BC002 on my K750i. When I played music in WALKMAN player, phone always turned off, than on automaticaly. I reflashed it million times and it didn't solved a problem.

the problem is the filenames in mp3's on the memory card or something like this. Backup your memory card, reformat it, then put your files back in the card. Do not fill the card more than 75%. If you wanna use your card to full capacity, put new mp3's to a new folder, the phone won't restart.
    Good luck
