ok i'll tell the simplest way ..... a friend told me this
i used setool2lite1.11
4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download setool2lite.rar
instead of xs++.
you also need SIMLockPatchGen_v2.1.rar
(4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download SIMLockPatchGen_v2.1.rar)
to unlock it.

you need 3 firmware files, the FS, Main and CDA.

example:
W580_CDA102568_107_R8A_GENERIC_AMERICA_2.zip
W580_R8BE001_FS_AMERICA_2_RED52.fbn
W580_R8BE001_MAIN_GENERIC_LA_RED52.mbn

i flashed my phone first. using these instructions

i made sure everything okay, and then unlocked it using this guide

you create patch file using the (main) file when you drag the file over the 'qamaker.exe' icon. it produces a vpk file.

the above files are the one's im gonna use.
