man. listen to everyone says, DON'T USE UPDATE MANAGER! beside upgrading your firmware , if there is avaible a new CID it will upgrade that too, and beside all this it might brick your phone too, it's not a foolproof program. DO NOT USE IT!

your not stuck have you heard of jd flasher the far manager plug-in it's not as easy to use as xs++ & setool2 lite but it supports cid:53 and cid:53 flashing.

sounds great, but is it only for flashing, or can I perform FSX operations with it as well (for Flash menus, patches, etc.)?
